PM orders government to adjust support mechanisms for farmers
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has ordered the government to adjust the support mechanisms for the farmers in order to accelerate the achievement of goals of the Food Security Doctrine, the government said in a statement on Thursday.
"The mechanisms of farmers' support will be adjusted for an accelerated achievement of the indicators of the Food Security Doctrine approved by the president. The corresponding order was given by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin after a strategic session on food security held on November 14," the statement read.
The official ordered the Industry and Trade Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry to prepare proposals for state support of Russian agricultural equipment production and demand for it by January 29.
He also ordered the government to prepare proposals on organization of monitoring of demand for some categories of products split by region and categories of population until February 1.
